A new  era has come. Technology has become the center of our lifestyles and with that comes the nerds. Nerds were once the joke of the "jock" circles, but now we are seen as equals. Qualcomm Stadium, the Mission Valley stadium that Qualcomm has had naming rights for since 1997, will be renamed the Snapdragon Stadium in respect to the Snapdragon processor. 

This is an honor to anyone that works in the Technology field. A sign that we have achieved a goal that has long been awaited. In the 80's or even in the 90's, it would have never been an option for a processor building company to have their name on a football stadium. This is truly a highlight in my life. For those football fans that are curious about who will be playing on that field during the temporary, yet epic, name change.. A Chargers Sunday night game, December  18th,  against Baltimore will be played under the new name, and two fantastic College Bowl games, both the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl and the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl. The Poinsettia Bowl will be on December 21st while the Holiday Bowl will be held on December 28th. This will be a ten day stand of glory to all of us technology enthusiasts.
