It took them two years, but developers over at the Google headquarters have created a new programming language, called Go. This language is based upon the all powerful, C and C++ languages, allowing it to be used for pretty much any kind of development. Google has stated that the main usage of this language was built around speeding up servers, but has been proven to be faster at any kind of development. Currently, Google wants people to test out the codes, and start finding new usages for it. By using this code, in your next application build, the speed can be greatly increased by as much as 10-20%.

Security of course for this top notch company was one of their top worries. Google thought heavily about the massive foul play that could be implemented by intruding users. They have made this a tight knit language structured to make sure that it is type safe and memory safe.

Even more interesting part is that they built Go based on the “freedom of knowledge” open source programs. The average user can do with it as they wish, and create software freely to their desire. The clean syntax and garbage collection allows for your coding to be easily written and debugged. This will be a great way to start developing things to add to the Google OS. Giving us a jump start on the band wagon!

Here is an example of the code being used to create the all powerful “Hello World” application:

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {

fmt.Printf("Hello, 世界\n")

}
